Care Handover

Account and service terms

These terms cover creation and use of a parent-owned Care Handover account. Creating an account does not take payment or publish a care plan.

The service

Care Handover helps a parent organise, review and privately share parent-authored childcare information with a trusted carer. The parent controls the account, approved plan and sharing grant. Drafts are private and nothing becomes live until the parent explicitly approves it.

Optional AI-guided Talk or Type organises the parent's statements into an unapproved draft. A separate private form provides the same canonical fields without the AI conversation provider. The assistant does not decide what is true or safe, and its output has no effect until the parent reviews and approves the resulting plan.

The initial paid service is offered only to adults purchasing for a private childcare handover in the Republic of Ireland. It is not a marketplace, childcare provider, medical service or emergency service.

Account and authority

You must provide accurate account details, protect your password and tell us promptly about suspected account or link misuse. The launch account has one parent owner. A carer link does not create an account or ownership rights.

You are responsible for having authority to provide the child and third-party details you enter, choosing a suitable trusted carer, keeping information current and sharing access only for the intended care window. Care Handover does not recruit, vet, employ, insure or supervise carers.

Safety boundary

Care Handover records and displays information entered and approved by the parent. It does not diagnose, recommend treatment, calculate a dose or replace a clinician, emergency service or safeguarding authority. In immediate danger or a serious medical emergency, use 112 or 999 and the appropriate emergency route rather than relying on the product.

Private sharing and acceptable use

Anyone with an active link and any separate passcode may be able to see the approved handover. You must use revoke or replace controls if access is misdirected or no longer needed. Do not use the service unlawfully, enter content you are not authorised to provide, attempt to access another household, interfere with security controls or misrepresent a care plan as professional advice.

Purchases and service changes

Any paid offer, total consumer price, applicable tax treatment, service term, renewal position, performance timing, cancellation information and purchase action are shown separately before payment. Creating an account alone creates no payment obligation. Care Handover may make proportionate security or service updates and will give clear notice where a change materially affects the agreed service.

If a first-year purchase was fully refunded, a later attempt to buy the same first-year offer may be routed to support for a proportionate human review before a new sale. This does not reduce the earlier refund or any statutory cancellation, refund or remedy right.

Availability, ending use and consumer rights

You can stop using the account and use the privacy route to request deletion. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect people, comply with law, respond to misuse or maintain security, while preserving applicable access, export, refund and remedy rights. Contact support@carehandover.ie or +353 86 325 8330 for support, cancellation or a service problem.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights and remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable Irish and EU consumer rights. Final purchase and cancellation wording remains separately reviewable at checkout.

Version and contact

The version accepted at signup is recorded with the account. Material changes require a new version and clear notice. The service is provided by Shane Garry, 68 Carton Wood, Maynooth, Co. Kildare, Ireland.
